Wedding photography in Sydney, from the first look to the last dance.

I’m Binh. Fifteen years, more than five hundred weddings, and a limited number of dates each year, so every couple gets the whole of me.

Your day, in chapters

The whole day, not just the dress.

A wedding is eight or ten hours of things happening to people you love. I photograph it in chapters, so nothing gets squeezed and the quiet moments and the loud ones each get what they need.

Chapter one

Getting ready

Hands, hems and nerves. The calm before it all kicks off, photographed quietly so nobody has to perform.

Chapter two

The first look

A private minute before the day takes over, if you want one. Plenty of couples keep it for the aisle instead, and that is just as good.

Chapter three

The ceremony

The vows, the rings, the face your dad pulls. I stay close, and I stay out of your guests’ way.

Chapter four

Family and friends

The group photos, done efficiently from a short list agreed beforehand, so you are back with your guests quickly.

Chapter five

The two of you

Golden hour, long grass, a veil in the wind. A few unhurried minutes alone often become the photographs you frame.

Chapter six

The party

Speeches, laughing, the dance floor. Quick hands, because the best frames last half a second.

How I work on the day

Fine art for the quiet moments. Quick hands for the loud ones.

Almost every couple tells me they are awkward in front of a camera. Good. You will not be over-posed. A few simple prompts, then you move, laugh and connect the way you normally would, and I photograph that.

In between, I keep you laughing, because two relaxed people are the best photograph there is.

How booking works

Three steps, no fine print maze.

  • 1. Tell me your dateUse the Check your date form below. I reply with your availability and the price list.
  • 2. Hold it with a depositYour date is held for you from the moment you book, and other couples are turned away. The deposit is not refundable, because that is what it pays for.
  • 3. Plan the day around the lightMost couples book 12 to 18 months ahead, so there is plenty of time to plan around the sun.

Tell me the date. I’ll tell you honestly.

If I’m free, you’ll hear what your day could look like. If I’m booked, I’ll say so straight away.

*there are no wrong answers in the guest book. Except “no idea”.

Why I ask. The more I know about you two, the more the photos look like you. Your answers decide where I stand, who I keep an eye on, and when I have the camera up before anyone else does.

Sends both parts, in one email, straight to Binh. Skip part two if you are in a hurry.
