Why this decision matters more than the others

Your photographer is the only vendor whose work you still own in fifty years.

Every other line on the budget is consumed on the day. This one gets handed down. It is also the only one you cannot fix afterwards. There is no second attempt at your father walking you down the aisle.

The day, hour by hour

Six chapters.
Miss one and it is gone for good.

These are the chapters of a wedding day as it actually unfolds. This is what coverage buys you, and where couples find out too late that they booked too few hours.

The thing you are worried about

“We are awkward in front of a camera.”

Almost every couple says this. My job is to help you feel comfortable, relaxed, and like yourselves. You do not need to be photogenic. You just need to show up and be in love.

  • I will never leave you awkwardly wondering what to do, and I will not over-pose you either.
  • Simple, natural prompts so you can move, laugh and connect in a way that feels real to you.
  • A blend of documentary and fine-art: real moments as they unfold, with gentle guidance for the portraits.
  • Nervous? A pre-wedding session is the best rehearsal there is.

“My husband and I both hate having photos taken, but Binh managed to put us at ease. We ended up having to buy more photo frames so we could put up all our favourites.”

Let us begin

Is your date still open?

Most couples book 12 to 18 months ahead, and venues and photographers are usually the first two vendors locked in. Closer dates are always worth asking about.

Sydney studio · shooting Australia-wide and on destination.

A couple at golden hour on their wedding day

The things couples actually ask.

What is your photography style?

A blend of documentary and fine-art. I focus on capturing real moments as they naturally unfold, with gentle guidance when needed for relaxed portraits. The result is imagery that feels authentic, emotional and timeless.

Do you pose us, or keep it natural?

I will never leave you awkwardly wondering what to do, but I will not over-pose you either. I give simple, natural prompts so you can move, laugh and connect in a way that feels real to you.

How far ahead should we book?

Most couples book 12 to 18 months in advance. Venues and photographers are typically the first two vendors booked, so the earlier you get in touch, the more likely your date is still free.

How many images will we receive, and when?

At least 300 images depending on the hours booked, all edited and in high resolution. Delivery is between four and ten working weeks.

Is the deposit refundable?

No. Wedding vendors can usually only work with one couple per day, so your date is set aside from the moment you book and other enquiries are turned away. The non-refundable deposit is what makes holding that date possible.

Who owns the copyright?

In Australia, weddings are private events, so by law the original copyright owner is you, the client.

How far will you travel?

Eight countries so far, from Barbados to China. Sydney is home, and coverage runs Australia-wide and on destination.

What happens if it rains?

We cannot control the weather, but we can control how much we enjoy the day together. Rain brings a lot of magic to photography if you are willing to embrace it.

One last thing

In twenty years you will not remember what it cost. You will only be grateful you have it.
